ShinyMind is a lifestyle app designed specifically to support the wellbeing and resilience of NHS staff. Developed in collaboration with the NHS, this app aims to provide 24/7 support to those working in one of the most challenging and stressful environments.
With over 100 interactive exercises and activities, ShinyMind offers a range of psychotherapeutic tools to support staff members' mental health. The app includes the 'ShinyMind Resilience: Your Mindset: Your Choice' program, which is a practical and empowering mindset program based on a new psychotherapeutic model of change. This program incorporates techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), transactional analysis, and positive psychology.
ShinyMind has been well-received by NHS employees, with almost 2000 participants rating the program as 'Excellent' or 'Good'. Attendees have reported improved resilience, stress management, and a positive impact on their overall wellbeing.
The app features a variety of interactive tools, including masterclasses, 5-minute SOS exercises for difficult moments, a gratitude journal, self-awareness journaling, guided meditation and breathing exercises, daily motivational messages, mood-boosting scenes and sounds, and a coping well section to share tips with the community.
